Launched in 2032<\/strong> from an orbital drydock around Luna, the S.S. Valiant<\/strong> was commissioned as a medium hauler during the third wave of human interplanetary expansion. Commissioned by Pleiades Star Freight Co.<\/strong>, it was among the second generation of civilian freighters to integrate fusion propulsion with traditional chemical thrusters, enabling both deep-space efficiency and short-burst agility. Initially contracted to ferry cargo between Earth orbit, Mars, and the Jovian moons, the Valiant gained a reputation for dependable operation under harsh conditions. Despite limited luxuries, its durability and modular design allowed it to outlast newer models that failed in post-war instability. Following the destruction of Pleiades Star Freight Co. headquarters at the end of WWIII the ship unofficially transitioned to private ownership and operation by Captain Jake Steele<\/strong> as a freelance freighter, salvage tug, and occasional smuggler vessel. However this ownership transfer is contested.<\/p>

By 2059<\/strong>, the Valiant had become a relic of a bygone era, still flying, still functional, and still profitable. The ship operated throughout he solar system, serving fractured colonies, survivor enclaves, and various stations. With much of Earth’s infrastructure crippled by World War III, the Valiant became part of a growing informal network of independent vessels sustaining trade and communication across the system. Though patched and modified many times over, its original frame remained intact, a testament to solid engineering and the crew’s ingenuity.
